Holland Strength Personal Trainer Deadlift

Whether you are over the age of 35 and recognise the quality of life benefits of getting stronger and fitter, or are a competitive athlete wanting to improve your sports performance, my services as a personal trainer will be of assistance.

As one gets older it becomes more important to pay attention to physical fitness and mobility. Muscle loss and fat gain make performing daily tasks harder, and reduce one’s quality of life. My personal training services are specifically targeted at people who recognise the health benefits of training and want to get in better shape.

As a competitor in various sports and current drug free powerlifter, I have direct experience in training for sporting competition, and as such, my personal training services would also be of value to athletes engaging in any sport and who want to improve their performance.

Lastly, I would like to emphasise that regardless of whether you are old, or have never trained before, there is always somewhere that you can start when it comes to beginning an exercise routine, and there is no better time to begin than the present.

Testimonials

  • I couldn’t recommend Sam enough for his powerlifting training. He is patient and focuses on having good form which is really important. I’ve noticed a lot of improvements in my movement and strength since starting and Sam tracks all my lifts so I always have a previous best to try to beat! It has been a great find as I really don’t like big commercial gyms!

  • Sam really knows his stuff and really helped me with my training. I am stronger than I have ever been. His sessions were both fun and challenging and I learned so much and achieved many personal goals. Strong recommendation.

    John M

  • Upon meeting Sam he has been very welcoming, professional and never intimidating. He has helped with my unique schedule. Sam is extremely knowledgeable especially when it comes to training and has won multiple competitions in the strength training world, which brings so much to my individual training that has helped create the best version of myself. With his training and nutrition tips over the past month, 3 days a week I have completely changed the look of my body, and learned how important it is to lift heavy with proper form to bring my body to its healthiest form. Do not underestimate the size of his gym, I can honestly say there are days I am unsure how I walked to my car.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your services suitable for Older People?

My Personal Training Services are Ideal for Older People. Weight training helps to reverse age related conditions including loss of bone density and sarcopenia. Greater strength therefore keeps you more mobile and independent for longer.

How long does it normally take to see results?

You should notice yourself getting stronger and feeling better after a few weeks of training two to three times a week. More dramatic changes take a longer time, and training should be looked at as a longer term process.

How Many Days a Week Should I train?

For most people training two to three times a week, with another one or two sessions a week dedicated to cardiovascular training in their own time would be ideal. People with a lot of training experience could find it best to train four days a week.

Are your services suitable for losing weight?

In short, yes. Strength training increases muscle mass, which in turn increases your body’s basal metabolic rate. This means that your body burns more calories, and this makes it easier to lose fat.

To the extent that fat loss is to be maximised, aerobic exercise and high intensity interval training can be added to your strength routine.

What Benefits Should I see From Training with You?

You should find yourself getting stronger and fitter, and finding daily tasks more easy to complete. Assuming your diet is in accordance with your goals, you should find yourself gaining muscle, or losing fat, and generally taking on a better appearance after a couple of months of dedicated training.

I have never trained before, is that a problem?

Absolutely not, I have a lot of experience in training people who have never trained before. Exercises just have to be modified to suit the starting point of the individual in question.
